AMARGO

Located on a pedestrian street in the centre of Manacor, next to Plaça de les Verdures, the Amargo pastry shop emerges from the refurbishment of a former commercial space, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens based on simplicity and spatial clarity. The project integrates the retail area, tasting space, and workshop into a single coherent environment, where furniture and architecture are resolved as a unified whole. The use of walnut wood brings warmth and depth, in contrast with neutral surfaces that reinforce a serene and balanced atmosphere.

The space is defined by an essential language, with clean lines and a composition that places the product at the forefront. Curved openings bring identity and rhythm, while the furniture—counter, display cases, and seating areas—integrates naturally into the whole. The lighting, resolved through wall fixtures and suspended wooden lamps with exposed bulbs, accompanies the space with a warm glow that highlights the materiality and creates a close, intimate, and timeless experience.
